How to prioritize a busy schedule

High school can be STRESSFUL! From school to sports to jobs to clubs, life can get full fast. Here are a few tips on how to manage your time wisely.
1.Use a planner
Planners allow you to layout everything you need to do. By writing everything down, you can get a good look at all your commitments and responsibilities. There are many online resources or free printables for planners that you can use. Apps and websites like Notion allow you to use templates or design your own layout so you can get exactly what you want out of it. Another resource is a free ADHD printable planner to help you break down your day.

2. Prioritize!
What is the most important thing for you to complete? This can look different every day. Some days it might be that huge English paper, or it could be getting to work on time. Regardless, by prioritizing, you’ll be able to dedicate more time to the important things and relax if you don’t give the less important things your all. Not everything you do deserves every minute of every day.
3. Plan your days or weeks
Use your planner or a notebook to dedicate time to your commitments. Keep in mind what your priorities are or how long things usually take you to accomplish. If your homework usually takes you 2 hours, make sure to schedule yourself 2 hours to complete it because without correct timing you will get stressed out.
4. Don’t get too caught up with sticking to your plan
Go with the flow! If things go a little longer than intended, it’s ok. Life is not perfect and you don’t need to pressure yourself to be.
5. Make time for yourself
Scheduling yourself wall to wall is stressful, so make sure you dedicate time for yourself. Go on a walk, spend some time outside, get dinner with your friends or family. You deserve time to be happy, so prioritize your happiness!
