The trailer has been going viral for the upcoming movie Uncharted that is based video game franchise of the same name. The movie stars Tom Holland as Nathan Drake, Mark Wahlberg as Victor Sullivan (Sully), and Sophia Ali as Chloe Frazer.

The casting of these characters by their age in the timeline makes this movie a prequel to the main stories of all the games in the franchise. The storyline is following the main Uncharted style of treasure hunting and fighting bad guys similar to Indiana Jones or Lara Croft fashion.

Unlike earlier unsuccessful video game movies like the 2018 Tomb Raider and the 2016 Assassin’s Creed movies, this film looks to move into new territory by providing origin stories for the characters that pre-date the game. Questioning swirl that Sony is making this movie as a cash grab in order to sell the Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection set of games. People are also questioning the casting choice of Tom Holland as the overly confident Nathan Drake. Questions  arising form the trailer will eventually be revealed; time will only tell what will happen.
