The swim team is making a return to the pool as winter sports can start official practices this week. This year, there are some key returning girls who are looking forward to a tremendous season!

First up is Junior Via Elston, a three year varsity swimmer who has made a state run her past two years at Saint Joe. Her top events are 100 backstroke and 50 freestyle. Placing 3 at sectionals last year in the 100 back and 16th at state, she is a key team member in individual events as well as medley and freestyle relays!

Next up is returning senior Jane Lloyd, the four year varsity member who made her mark with two third place finishes at state last year in the 200 freestyle relay as well as the 400 freestyle relay. She is the sectional champ in the 200 IM, returning All American and senior captain!

Cece Farrell is a returning Junior who now heads the distance department after legendary Mary Cate Pruitt graduated. She swims the 500 freestyle as well as the 200 IM, on top of helping the Indians secure a third place finish at the sectional meet in the medley relay.

With three new freshmen adding depth and a transfer junior, the aquatribe looks to put up a solid season with highlighting meets at Adams, Penn, NIC and sectionals! The official swim meet season opens at Riley on November 16, 2021 at 6 pm! Come show your support for the lady tribe!
