Big Weekend for Lacrosse
April 30, 2022
Recently, the tribe took down Marian Knights, 8-4. It was a tight game in the first half, both teams were scoring back and forth. It was a relatively low scoring game, entering the second half with the Indians just up by 1. But the second half was a change of tides for the Indians, they kicked in gear and started to show consistency with the ball. Amarion Parker only allowed one goal in the second half, showing an impressive display in front of his rivals. Seeing numerous shots, Parker was a force to be reckoned with. The Indians defense locked down the fortress, despite having countless penalties due to extremely debatable calls. Jack Tobolski dominated the game in face offs, causing Indians to get most of the possessions of the game. The tribe dominated the game on offense, holding long possessions and wearing down the Knights defense.
The Indians bench brought the energy, hushing the Knights student section. The boys on the bench were electric, intimidating the other team. Coming out with the victory, the boys have high hopes as they head down to Wisconsin for the weekend for two games against highly competitive teams. The team has to lock in for this weekend, after having a nail biter of a game with one of the teams last year, Kettle Moraine, one of the best teams in Wisconsin. The team has improved a lot from this year so they have confidence heading into this weekend, looking to pull off the upset.
