As we draw closer to the months of November and December, this means the ending of fall sports. However, this does not mean the end of the recognition for esteemed athletes that stood out during their seasons this year. Saint Joe Sports were on fire this 2022 fall season, with multiple members from 5 different sports receiving NIC All-Conference Awards.

Starting off, we have girls’ soccer, with Co-Captains Lauren Harrington, Ella Frick, and Peyton Hull being named  to the 1st Team. Additionally, the team had honorable mentions of Meg Baxter, Lauren Frick, and Lainey Eder. Ella Frick was named the conference MVP with 19 goals and 16 assists on the season.

Next up is Volleyball, with recognition for four players on the team. Seniors Abby Reese and Gabby Trinter were named 1st Team with Junior Marley Annis being named 2nd Team. Senior Sam Suth was also recognized with an Honorable Mention.

Saint Joe’s Cross Country team had a very strong season with a total of 11 athletes receiving awards, 9 of which were 1st Team recognitions. For Girl’s Cross Country, athletes Molly Bellia, Tess Collins, Lee Erdman, Lexi Juday, Kiley McGuire, and Ava Rousseve were all named 1st Team. The Boy’s Cross Country Team had 1st Team winners Carmelo Russo, Jack Helm, and Gabe Polaniecki, with the addition of Aiden Dowdle and Elliot Mark with Honorable Mentions.

Boy’s tennis also racked up awards with players from both singles and doubles teams making 1st team. Davis Borders, Colin Blumentritt, and Will Westburry were recognized for singles as well as Jake Westburry and Luke Blumentritt were recognized for doubles.

Last but certainly not least, the girl’s golf team had the recognition of 5 total athletes. Marley Dunham was named 1st Team as well as Elle Guyton and Bella Jeffrey being named 2nd Team. Sydney Schmeltz and Margaux Hannewyk were also listed as honorable mentions.

As these seasons come to a close, these athletes are recognized for their outstanding performances. Go, Saint Joe!
