Kasem Minzey

The Saint Joseph Hockey team has shown great success in the past few weeks. They have pulled a record of 13-1-3 so far this season with about thirty games left this year. The Indians are placed seventh in state. They had a successful weekend going 4-0 during the Adam Milani Thankgiving Tournament. Marko Zielinski leads the team with 14 points Stephen Eckrich and Colton Edman have 13 points and Teddy Hosinski and Owen Balint trail behind with ten points.

The Indians were in full stride in the Thanksgiving tournament at the Ice Box and Notre Dame over Thanksgiving Break. They started off the tournament playing Notre Dame Prep out of Arizona; who is the number two team in Arizona. They started off the weekend shutting them out 3-0. Early Saturday morning Indians beat Bishop Null 4-2 and while also playing Ft Wayne Vipers 6-0 giving Yergler his second shutout of the weekend. On championship Sunday Notre Dame Prep was out for revenge getting to rematch the Indians. It was a very close game, both teams having around 30 shots each, but ND Prep fell short late in the game unable to score a clutch goal to force the game into overtime. Indians win 3-2.

To kickoff the month of December the Indians will face off against Adams over the weekend of December 2nd and LSJ on December 3rd at the Ice Box. These city games will test the Indians to see if they can keep the win streak going.

Come out and support the Indians this weekend.
