The rivalry between Saint Joe and Adams almost certainly promises to be an amazing game each year. By no means did this game fall short of that standard. Adams was heavily favored coming into this game after starting off the season very strong. Saint Joe had a tough loss to a Concord team that they know they could’ve handled. The odds were against the Indians but that also means that they had nothing to lose coming into the Friday night matchup. Adams was ahead for most of the game but Saint Joe began inching closer with both teams taking the momentum back and forth.

The first quarter ended with a score of Adams 20 and Saint Joe 15. Both teams started off cold but found their shots with some fast break points playing a key contributor. With 3 minutes left to go in the first half the game was still close with both teams playing hard defense with a score of Adams 32 Saint Joe 28. The first half ended with superb shooting from both sides draining several threes. The first half ended with a score of Adams 39 Saint Joe 37.

The second half started and both teams didn’t skip a beat putting buckets down left and right with the end of the third quarter score was Saint Joe 58 Adams 56. Coming into the fourth quarter Saint Joe held the lead but the Eagles went on a big run to make the score within one possession. Saint Joe responded and Adams simply could not keep up.Gabe Nanni drained two key free throws to make it a two possession game. An Adams offensive foul late made the game out of reach for the Eagles. The Indians pull away 84-80 in a hard fought backyard battle.

Chase Konieczny lead the Indians with 36 points while three others scored in double digits: Gabe Nanni with 14, Brashaun Woods with 13, and Jayce Lee with 11.  The defensive game was anchored by Jerry Barca.  The Indians are back in action this week against Jimtown on December 8th and Goshen on December 10th.
