Senior Jesus Rodriguez is a strong student athlete, involved in wrestling, and an active participant in his classes and in our community.
Rodriguez has fully dedicated this past year to become a better wrestler. Throughout the off season, he has been working hard and putting forth his best effort to become a better version of himself on and off the mat. Rodriguez initially started wrestling his sophomore year. Wrestling has challenged him to grow.
“My coaches pushed me every day to be great and to one day be a leader and a captain.”
Rodriguez is now a captain and a leader on the wrestling team and he said that his coaches had a big impact.
Rodriguez is enrolled in a flex called OCIA ( The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults) with Mr. Stalcup. He has a strong faith and believes in helping everyone come closer to God. This flex is dedicated to bringing people closer to God and helping people convert to Christianity.
His plan after college is to attend college in state and pursue his academic career by studying landscape architecture.
Rodriguez reflects on his motivation as he finishes his senior year, “Ever since I was a kid I’ve seen my parents work hard to provide for me and my sister, and that drives me to be a better person and to do the same when I’m older.”
