After a fun and great homecoming week the St. joe boys basketball team took on a very tough New praire team. As they came out the gate with great energy setting the tone with a couple of jayce lee slams. They went into half time up 20 points making it 41-21 going into half time.
During the half time we found out who would be crowned homecoming King and Queen. The members of the court were Yury Pimentel, Tom Farrell, Emma Betz, Ethan Pairitz, Eliana Lang, Sam Norwood, Lainey Eder, Hani Baki, Grace Kidder, Dante Cruz, Micah Stover, and Ashi Amalnathan. Congrats to Micah Stover and Ashi Amalnathan for being voted homecoming king and queen.
The boys than came out firing on all cylinders the second half stretching the lead to almost 30 points in the 3rd quarter. Coach Gaff went deep into the rotation which didn’t change a thing since they came out hungry expanding the lead to to 37 pts. The final was St. Joe 69 and New Prairie 32. Junior Guard Chase led with 32 points.
Senior Jayce Lee commented that,”We have been playing really great as a team lately and jelling very well. We feel really confident going into the Clay game and for the rest of the season. “
