Running for Senior Class Representative, Class of 2026 Peter George Baglow, Mia Berrettini, Greta Chadwell, Alexander Deitering, James Eder, Tulsi Patel, Austin Ratigan, and Colin Zwiller.
Peter George Baglow – I wish to be elected as a member of student government because I believe that I can bring enthusiasm and confidence to the role. I am a friendly and outgoing person who is not afraid to talk with students and teachers. This will help me to understand what people want and need from our high school experience. Saint Joe deserves student leaders who are eager to serve. And I believe that I am that kind of person. I love Saint Joe, and I won’t be afraid to show it and bring others along in my excitement for our community.
Mia Berrettini – For our last year at Saint Joe, it would be so meaningful to serve as a representative of the thoughts and ideas of the (senior) students. Throughout my three years at Saint Joe, the sense of community has grown. I would like to help deepen that family aspect to Saint Joe, so that every single person feels like they are an important part of the community. I have developed important leadership skills during my time at Saint Joe. I believe that I can help the rest of Student Government make a positive impact on the Saint Joe community.
Greta Chadwell – I am interested in being a member of Student Government because I want to be more active and involved in the Saint Joseph High School community. Along with this, I want to contribute to decisions that impact my classmates and me.
Alexander Deitering – I wish to be elected for student Government because I’ve seen lots of things that need change in this school. I know that if I were to be elected I would have a say and actually be able to act on these changes rather than just having to deal with all of them. I’d also say that I know people from almost every sort of friend group in Saint Joe, friends from Sports and athletes to Artists and academically focused people. This leads me to being able to understand all different sides of saint joe and hear views from different types of people. Seeing through the eyes of all sorts of people I’m sure would help me to be able to more accurately help Saint Joe as a whole, targeting not just one group’s needs but everyones.
James Eder – I would like to be an elected member of student government because of the changes that I can bring to this school. I am a leader and I know that I can bring valuable contributions to the student government that will enhance the experience of all students at St. Joe.
Tulsi Patel – I want to be a representative because I will get the opportunity to take an active role in the governing body of Saint Joe. As a former class representative for both my sophomore and junior years and, now, next year’s Spanish Honor Society President, I have developed a strong understanding of what effective leadership and student advocacy look like. My past leadership roles have taught me how to work with diverse groups of people and take initiative when it matters most. I see myself contributing to this position as someone who can understand the views of others and make sure that the administration of Saint Joe considers those views. I have always been someone who follows through on responsibilities and tries to make a real impact. I am not afraid to take initiative, so I will not wait for someone else to step up when something needs to be done, but I also know how to step back and listen when needed. I believe that this role would provide a greater understanding for me of what it takes to be someone who others can look to in order to help strengthen the school community. Being in student government is all about creating an inclusive family where everyone feels valued.
Austin Ratigan – I want to be in student government because I care about what happens at our school and how students experience it. I think a lot of students have ideas or concerns but don’t always know where to bring them. I’d like to be someone they can count on to listen and actually do something about it. I’m running because I want to make a real difference, not just show up to meetings. I believe student government should help create a school environment where people feel included, involved, and proud to be here. Whether it’s through events, feedback, or small improvements, I want to help make school a better place for everyone. I know I don’t have all the answers, but I’m willing to put in the work to find them.
Colin Zwiller – I want to be an elected member of student government because I want to help to influence the decisions that are made in relation to the student body. I would like to provide a more defined and wide spread group of representation being able to provide input from more pockets and demographics of students.
