Luke Thomas and His Commitment to Elmhurst University

Courtney Bean

Luke Thomas has been playing multiple sports for most of his life. At 12 years old he began playing lacrosse and ever since then he’s loved the game more than any other. Fast forward 6 years and he’s committed to continue his athletic career at Elmhurst University. Luke has played on the Saint Joe Varsity Lacrosse team for the past 4 years and has also played on the True Lacrosse travel team.

Luke received offers from Elmhurst University, Illinois Wesleyan University, Ohio Northern University and University of Indianapolis. After giving much consideration to all of them, he decided Elmhurst University was the right fit for him because of the location so he can still be close to family and friends.

Luke gave a lot of credit to his mom for being his number one supporter and motivator throughout his whole athletic career in all sports. He states “She’s pushed me to become a better athlete and a better person, to grow on and off the field.”

He also wanted to give credit to his coach at Saint Joe and his travel coaches who have really pushed him to become the best player he can be and have also helped him along the way to get recruited. Luke is most excited to be able to play College Lacrosse and be at the next level. He hopes to be able to bring a Championship home to Elmhurst!

Congratulations to Luke on his countless contributions to the Saint Joe team and his amazing lacrosse career thus far but that’s far from over! Good Luck at Elmhurst, Luke!
