Come support the Saint Joe hockey team!! After beginning the season 5-2, the team headed on the road for a three game weekend.
Coach Kleva is truly excited and happy with how the season has started off. Wyatt Amm has been in net for most of the season so far, along with Annabella Alsmeyer, filling the goaltending position vacated by alum Zach Yergler.
Defenders Jack Troester and Evan Balint have been rock solid- neither allowing any goals this season so far. This pair of defence is unstoppable.
At the tournament, the squad went 1-2-1 with a victory, tie, and two losses. The first game was a loss to Brother Rice 4-3. Saint Joe then tied North Catholic 2-2 before losing to St. Xavier 4-1 . The weekend concluded when the team played St. Xavier from Kentucky, winning 5-0.
The team is striving to have a good year and have a slate of games upcoming. This Wednesday they head on the road to play a talented Culver squad. Then on Friday they play Riley followed by Lakeshore on Saturday – both at the Ice Box.
